This Sensory Garden is a magical space in which children can explore and learn about the wonders of nature. It is designed for both individual sanctuary and stimulating discussion, sight, touch, sound and smell all have a part to play.
Divided into the colours of the rainbow, each section has its own atmosphere as the colour influences our mood. Sunflowers in the yellow garden, autumn asters attracting butterflies, and the bright red stems of cornus ‘Sibirica’ against the winter snow.
The garden has a teaching circle, ‘seashore’, ‘riverbed’ and an area of woodland with the essential tree stumps for creepy crawlies.
