Roof gardens

An empty roof area transformed into a garden oasis

1. The client wanted to avoid a roof terrace cluttered with containers and requested a design that would create the feel of a garden. Structural constraints resulted in a creative solution.

The terrace now feels like a garden with an upper deck created and screened by grislinia hedging to providing a quiet space.

Iroko hardwood coping to the water feature and raised beds provides extra seating and the area is now a place for relaxing but with the potential for entertaining larger numbers.

2. Large smooth lined containers and structural planting give this terrace visually impact all year round.
